Summer + Winter 2018

American and British Film Production

During this and the previous semestr I have enrolled in quite an intresting course. Its name is British and American Film Production and it is taught by Zdeněk Janík. I heard about it from my friends who attended this course and were excited about the movies that they have not seen before.

The only task is to write a review after watching the film. There are mostly deep-minded, dark and depressive movies which always touch me deeply in my heart. Beacuse of that it is a bit difficult for me to write my opinions and my thoughts about them.

Here are some of the reviews I have written since last semestr.

Summer 2018

Informal & Formal Writing

This worksheet is from Practical Language (second semester). I am keeping almost every worksheet from PL, but this one is maybe the most helpful and useful for me so I enclosed it here.

Winter 2018

Journal

This semester we had interesting course called Basics of Didactics of English. After every session we had to write something like reflection in which we should comment on topics we disccused.

I found this idea utterly useful, I enjoyed reading all articles Ms Hrozková provided us in Moodlinka and then the reflection compelled me to really think about it.

Here are some of my journal entries.

Summer 2019

British Literature

Here are some of my worksheet I made during History, Culture a Literature of Great Britain.

To be honest, I fell in love with this course, even though I was pretty scared of it at the beginning of the semester. But during it, I learnt a lot about analyzing texts and generally about British literature and about its historical background.

I really enjoyed working on my worksheets.

Shakespeare

William Wordsworth

Robert Burns

William Blake

The Third Member of Usher Family

This was probably the hardest piece of writing so far. It was not just an ordinary essay, but I was supposed to be a paper, that means more academical and formal. The topic was to write about the setting of Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher. I was so scared about it, but then, when I finally sat to it and started to write, it was like a piece of cake. I completed the whole paper in an hour and I hardly stopped writing. I realised that I have a lot of things to write about it and I was satisfied in the end because I have scored 28 points out of 30.

Methodology Portfolio

I genuinely enjoyed working on this portfolio. The main reason is that I find it utterly useful for my future job as a teacher.

In every lesson of Methodology I noted down every activity we did and after I came back home I added the best ones to my portfolio. It has now 35 pages and I am planning to continue working on it.
